HOW TO APPLY FOR PASSPORT

Search for your regional passport office site

First you search for the regional passport office site, say you search as regional passport office+tamil nadu for other states you replace your state for tamil nadu. The site may have address in the form (for Tamil Nadu) http://passport.tn.nic.in/.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Click the Online Registration button

On clicking this button you will be displayed with application form.Fill the form and then save each page and take print out(Totally 6 print outs for fresh cadidates).

At the end of the form you will be given the date and time when you need to visit the Regional passport office.

Particulars that you should bring to the passport office

Voters ID Card orginal and 2 photo copy of it with your signature on it.

Ration Card orginal and 2 photo copy of it with your signature on it.

If you dont have any of these you should bring any other address proof(both orginal and 2 photo copies of it with your signature).

At the regional passport office

There will be seperate queue for online registration.At first you have get verified from one officer,then you should join another queue for the approval, then atlast another queue for paying the money(Rs.1000 for ordinary and 1500 for Takkal).
